Andromeda Galaxy (M31)
A spiral galaxy 2.5 million light years from Earth. It is the nearest major galaxy to the Milky Way and the largest of the "local group" of galaxies that includes the Milky Way and the Triangulum Galaxy (M33). The Andromeda Galaxy exhibits blue shiift which means it is moving towards us and is expected to collide with our own Milky Way galaxy in around 4.5 million years time.
Orion Nebula (M42)
A diffuse nebula situated south of Orion's Belt, over 1300 light years from Earth. The nebula is estimated to be 24 light years across and have a mass of about 2,000 times that of the Sun.

Triangulum Galaxy (M33)
A spiral galaxy in the constellation Triangulum, Messier 33 (M33) is almost 3 million light years from Earth. It is the third largest galaxy in the "local group", behind Andromeda (M31)( and our own Milky Way.
